Firefighters are investigating the circumstances surrounding a man who allegedly shot at a person he thought was another driver at Oaty Hill Road, in Mount Isa. It comes just weeks after a woman was seriously injured after being shot by a man she thought was being targeted by drug dealers. The shooting happened just before 2pm on Tuesday. It is understood the man was driving his red Jeep Renegade towards the shooting but when he caught the wrong suspect vehicle and his Jeep veered onto the highway, it struck the person in front, who subsequently was struck by the vehicle on the ground. The man has been charged with attempted murder. Police say the two men were involved in a two vehicle crash at the junction of Oaty Hill and Hillside roads. A 19-year-old man from St Mary's Road was charged with causing a disturbance. A man was arrested at 9am on Tuesday. No further information about any connection to the shooting was reported. 5/10/2012

When we got back to Bloedringen the locals were just saying weird stories. We drove up to my house and met my dad for coffee and to catch up on some phone calls. He was talking about some things that he saw and he was seeing strange things in Bloedringen.


One of them was a man with his hands tied behind his back by a small iron bar. He had his hands tied in front of him as was usual. When he opened his mouth he said he saw a white thing or some other thing.


After this he told stories about seeing a green disk (probably a cloud), about seeing some blue thing in front of his eyes, some white thing on his back and he heard a voice but couldn't make out who it was.


He then went back into his house where he just stared. When he asked what the thing was his hands were tied behind him again and this time a girl with something hanging down her skirt came out and said the thing was a snake. I couldn't make out a thing but I knew they were talking about an orange, green or yellow colour like a snake would be.


We told the story to my dad and he told me how it had happened to him while he was living in Bloedringen. All these people said this, people talking about some strange thing or seeing something that looked like a snake had happened in Bloedringen.


The next day my father had more people talk about it so we thought of all the people who were talking to them and how it was all nonsense. I told my mum about the strange things I had seen and she said if there was something they c
